A fresh twist on the traditional conference + media platform, NewCo is rapidly gaining traction across the globe. The concept is simple but powerful: NewCo turns a traditional event inside out. Instead of filling a dark ballroom with “attendees” and having leaders lecture in a one-to-many style, NewCo occurs inside the world’s most innovative companies. Executives, entrepreneurs, investors, and future influencers get an up close and personal experience of each company in its native habitat. Once inside, participants have a wide range of experiences – from behind-the-scene tours of cutting-edge work environments, to founders candidly sharing insights into their own entrepreneurial journey.   • What is NewCo?

    NewCo is a new kind of event experience: a mashup of an open studio tour and a business conference, with the vibe of a music festival. Register to attend any of over 65 presentations given by local innovative companies and organizations. You get to pick which sessions you would like to see and you get to visit each company/organization in their home office or locale.

    When is NewCo Boulder?

    November 17th, 2016 in Boulder. There will be a VIP Reception on the evening of November 16th for VIP Ticket holders, Host Companies and Sponsors.

    How do I register for NewCo Boulder?

    Simply fill out the online registration form found here: http://bdr.newco.co Please note that you can sign up for free or upgrade for earliest access to our schedule picker. Sessions will fill up fast, so upgrading is your way to ensure that you get the sessions you want to attend.

    After I’ve registered how do I pick which sessions I will attend?

    You will receive an email from us when you have access to the schedule picker, based on your registration level. Our online schedule picker will allow you to pick one session per time slot, building a full day of visits and presentations from Boulder’s finest and most innovative companies and organizations.

    Can I change my schedule once I’ve picked my sessions?

    Yes, you can edit your schedule at any time. However, we ask you to be mindful of other attendees who may want to attend sessions that are full. If you do not plan on attending any sessions we ask you to change your schedule picker as soon as you are able.

    Are there any mixing events or other get togethers?

    We will be messaging out “meet ups” during the days via Twitter. For VIP registrants there is a Plenary Event scheduled for Wednesday, November 18th.

    What if I lose my credentials?

    Please print up a copy of your detailed schedule and carry this with you at all times.

    FAQs for Interested HostCos (Host Organizations)

    Thank you for your interest as a HostCo! We designed NewCo to celebrate the spirit of innovation that embodies so many of the organizations around the world. This October we are bringing NewCo to Boulder and look forward to working with you to create an event/festival that properly captures and shares your unique story. We’ve put together this FAQ to help answer some questions we frequently receive about NewCo and what it means to be a HostCo.     What makes a company an NewCo?

    • NewCo’s are on a mission to change the world.
    • NewCo’s are an enabler, not a gatekeeper.
    • NewCo’s believe in open collaboration with customers, suppliers, employees, and their community.
    • NewCo’s believe in transparent communication.
    • NewCo’s are open minded and nimble.

    What is my commitment as a HostCo?

    As a HostCo, a founder or senior member of your management team should lead a 45 minute session around your organization’s vision and what innovation means to you. Time of day (broken out in one hour segments between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.) and the number of people you can host is up to you and what you are comfortable with.

    On the day of the event we will provide you with printable collateral to put up at your offices to denote your organization as a HostCo.

    How can I apply to be a HostCo?

    To apply to be considered for a HostCo session, fill out the online HostCo application and out team will be in touch shortly.

    Who will be attending NewCo Boulder?

    NewCo Boulder is open to anyone who is interested in attending. We expect a mix of senior marketers, investors, developers, writers, technologists, start up founders and policy makers; at the end of the day it will really be an audience who is interested in innovation, particularly in Boulder.

    Should we be prepared to provide food and drinks?

    HostCos are not required to provide food or drinks, although it is certainly welcome. Keep in mind that attendees will be going to different sessions throughout the day so small snacks and drinks will definitely be appreciated!

    Should we be prepared for the press?

    Members of the press may join your HostCo session, either as a curious member of the audience or to officially write a story. If there are members of the press who are interested in writing a story about your particular session we will make sure to connect them with you.

    How many HostCos will there be?

    While we would like to accommodate everyone who is interested we can only feature approximately 65 organizations this year in Boulder. HostCos will be throughout the city and each will have a 45-minute segment to share their vision and story. We encourage you to present for up to 30 minutes so you can allow time for audience Q&A.

    What set up do I need to provide as a HostCo?

    You will need to provide seating for the number of attendees that you tell us you can accommodate. If you have any in-house audio capacity (sound) and you are able to host over 75 people we suggest that you utilize your in-house sound (this is not a requirement).
